As a pioneer in broad-based marriage initiatives, the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative (OMI) has charted new territory. This report analyzes whether former TANF recipients who lose their jobs apply for and receive unemployment insurance (UI) benefits and it describes the role of UI in TANF leavers' well-being and the types of employment deficits that might prevent their access to UI.
This is the third in a series of reports based on longitudinal information collected from a sample of 1,474 individuals with long-term care (LTC) insurance, who notified their insurance company that they were receiving or intended to receive paid services for which they filed, or would be filing, a claim under their LTC policy.
To date a number of private and public sector initiatives have commenced that rely on value-driven principles for the delivery of health care services. Given the variation that may exist across these initiatives it is important to have a good structure for examining and evaluating their implementation and overall effectiveness.
Although the vast majority of privately insured people in the U.S. obtain their coverage in the employment-based group market, about 17 million people under age 65 were insured in the individual health insurance market in 2006. About 47 million people, or 16% of the total U.S. population, were without health insurance coverage in 2006.
This report describes the extent to which maltreated children have developmental problems or are subject to factors associated with poor developmental outcomes, what services these children might be eligible to receive, what factors influence service receipt, and what solutions have been devised to address barriers to service provision.
