Measuring the Effectiveness of Virtual Human Services

The COVID-19 pandemic drove a large and rapid transition from in-person human service delivery to virtual approaches. Measuring the implementation and outcomes of virtual human services in a timely way is crucial to understanding the challenges and successes for a variety of participants across programs and services. Research on telehealth and remote home visiting can inform strategies, outcomes, and measures for assessing participant and staff experiences with virtual human services.

• Measuring the Implementation and Effectiveness of Virtual Human Services Brief: This brief highlights strategies to help overcome current limitations and produce timely data on and subsequent assessments of virtual services. These exploratory findings can inform program and policy decisions and adjustments in the short term.
