The purpose of this report is to analyze survey data collected from members of the federal family and compare their attitudes and opinions to those of individuals offered coverage in other public programs as well as those offered coverage in private sector employer-group settings.

This is the first in a series of data briefs based on the information collected from the three aforementioned surveyed groups. The analysis focuses on the attitudes, opinions and motivations of individuals who purchased policies.

An important component of the ASPE Health (Promotion and Aging Project is the development of such an inventory of health promotion, disease prevention, and health education activities targeted at informal caregivers for HHS.

To fulfill a Presidential mandate, the Department of Health and Human Services established the New Freedom Initiative Workgroup to review efforts that have been initiated in response to the Olmstead decision, and to recommit and refocus the Administration's efforts in promoting the full participation of adults with disabilities in community life.
