New NINDS Funding Opportunity Announcement in partnership with NIA:

  • Detecting Cognitive Impairment, Including Dementia, in Primary Care and Other Everyday Clinical Settings for the General Public and in Health Disparities Populations (UG3/UH3) RFA-NS-17-012
    • The purpose is to address the unmet need to detect cognitive impairment / dementia when a patient, a relative, or a caregiver voices a concern. Proposed clinical paradigms should utilize easy-to-use tools that are standardized and take less than 5 minutes to administer in a primary care setting.
    • Applications are due May 9, 2017

MarkVCID: National Consortium to develop clinical trial-ready VCID biomarkers

  • Established through FY 2016 FOA -- 7 project sites across the US & 1 coordinating center
  • Consortium Kickoff meeting was Feb 20-21, 2017
