The Impact of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics on Children, Youth, and their Families

This brief explores ways demonstration Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) and states have served, engaged, and partnered with other entities to support children/youth and their families; identifies CCBHC quality improvement efforts related to improving care for children/youth and their families; and concludes by considering how CCBHCs are meeting their potential to serve children/youth and their families. Findings reflect interviews with state officials and demonstration CCBHC leaders, CCBHC surveys, and CCBHC quality measures; data were collected between 2018 and 2025, from the eight states and select clinics.
