NIH — Cigar Smoking: b.2 Interim Response

RE: Request for Correction pursuant to the National Cancer Institute Fact Sheet: Cigar Smoking and Cancer and the information it contains does not comply with OMB, HHS, or agency-specific guidelines.

Dear Mr. Clissold:

Your request dated June 1, 2011 for Correction under the Data Quality Act HHS Information Quality Guidelines and submitted on behalf of the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) still remains under review. While our goal is to respond within 60 days to such requests, we are unable to do so in this case. We anticipate that a response providing the Agency’s views will be forwarded to you by January 1, 2011.

Thank you for your interest in the quality of information disseminated by NIH.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth M. Dean
