Visting HHS

If you are attending in-person, please plan to arrive at the HHS Humphrey Building 15-30 minutes in advance to ensure adequate time for security screening.

  • A real ID will be needed to enter the HHS Humphrey Building. You will need to sign in with security and go through security screening. The list of acceptable IDs can be found here.

  • If you are a foreign national, email International@hhs.gov at least a week in advance, for additional information on the process. A foreign national visitor is a non-employee desiring to enter an HHS facility who is not a U.S. citizen, either born or naturalized, and not a lawful permanent resident, permanent resident alien, or green-card holder.
