Susan Jenkins, PhD

Susan Jenkins is the Director of the Division of Evidence, Evaluation and Data Policy in the Office of Science and Data Policy and serves as the HHS Evaluation Officer. In these roles she oversees HHS’ adherence to reporting requirements under the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policy Making Act, facilitates the HHS Evidence and Evaluation Council, and supports both the HHS Data Council and the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics. She is a member of the Federal Interagency Council on Evaluation Policy and is on the faculty of the American University School of Public Affairs. Prior to joining ASPE she was the Director of the Office of Performance and Evaluation in the US Administration for Community Living, served on a detail with the Office of Management and Budget’s Evidence Team, and was an evaluation specialist with the US Peace Corps. She received a BA from Yale University and a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan.
