Laura Jacobus-Kantor
Laura Jacobus-Kantor is the Director of the Division of Behavioral Health Policy where she manages an interdisciplinary team of analysts conducting policy analysis and research on mental health, substance use, and related topics. She also leads a portfolio of work focusing on behavioral health quality measurement and program evaluation, including serving as co-lead of ASPE's evaluation of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) demonstration program. Prior to joining ASPE, Laura held several positions at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), including serving as Branch Chief of the Quality, Evaluation, and Performance Branch within the Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ) where she led quality, performance, and evaluation work across the agency. She also worked as a Senior Research Scientist at NORC at the University of Chicago and as an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Health Policy at George Washington University. Laura joined ASPE in 2019 and received a BA in psychology from Rutgers University and a PhD in psychology from Georgia State University.
