Performance Improvement 2013-2014. What Occupational Opportunities are Available to Prepare At-Risk Youth for Jobs with Sufficient Compensation to Ultimately Become Independent Adults?


Researchers examined features of promising occupations for at-risk youth with sufficient compensation to set them on a path to becoming become independent adults.

Opportunities in two fields were highlighted – health care and construction. A number of work-based learning and career pathway programs were also discussed, including a Health Professions Opportunity Grants initiative.
