Accelerating Adoption of Assistive Technology
This report examines and assesses the often overlooked potential of assistive technology (AT) to benefit unpaid family caregivers who assist chronically disabled elders living at home. Although research has identified benefits, only a handful of publicly-funded family caregiver support programs give much attention to enabling caregivers’ access to AT. Strategies for disseminating and encouraging adoption of these programs’ promising practices are discussed. [109 PDF pages]
