Cheryl Bodden, MSA, is an Exceptional Transformative Leader and Manager with over 15 years in the healthcare industry. Ms. Bodden is a highly motivated and proven leader with an award-winning track record to produce national results in the most complex enterprises (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). Ms. Bodden is the Executive Officer and Director, Office of Planning and Policy Support (OPPS) of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE). As Director, she is responsible for overseeing the management of ASPE’s staff supporting Financial Management; Human Resources (HR) Management, Information Technology (IT); Records Management, Employee Training and Development; Asset Management; Contracts and Procurement; Travel Management; Facilities Management; Policy Development; Space Management; Physical Security; Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); Ethics; Executive Secretariat; Government Accounting Office (GAO) and Office of Inspector General (OIG) audits; Emergency Preparedness (Continuity of Operations Plan - COOP) and Safety.
Prior to ASPE, Ms. Bodden was the Chief of Operations and Management under the Office of the Surgeon General (OSG). The bulk of her federal career was with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the Office of Clinical Standards and Quality (OCSQ). Prior to joining CMS, she ascertained a valuable set of skills as a Medical Data Manager in the private sector, and worked as a Public Health Epidemiologist for the City of New York Department of Health.
