From the West:
East west Toll way (Route 88) to the Eisenhower Expressway (Route 290) going East. The Eisenhower becomes Congress Parkway in Chicago. Take Congress Parkway to Michigan Avenue. Left on Michigan Avenue Approximately 2 miles from Congress Parkway, you will see Delaware Place, located just past the John Hancock Building. Turn right on Delaware, and at the first stop sign turn left onto Mies Van Der Rohe. Turn left at Walton Place. The hotel’s entrance will be on the left (south side) of the street.
From the North:
Tri-State Toll way (294) to the Edens Expressway (94) traveling south toward Chicago. The Edens merges with the Kennedy Expressway (90-94). Take the Kennedy to Ohio Street, traveling East (Exit 50B). Take Ohio Street east to Michigan Avenue. Left on Michigan Avenue, traveling north 8 blocks to the John Hancock Building. Delaware Place is located just past the John Hancock Building. Turn right on Delaware, and at the first stop sign turn left on Mies Van Der Rohe. Turn left at Walton Place. The hotel’s entrance will be on the left side (south side) on the street.
From the South:
Take the Chicago Skyway, Calumet Expressway or Interstate 57 to the Dan Ryan Expressway (94). Stay on 94 North to Ohio Street, Exit 50B. This exit is just after the loop exits and one exit after the tunnel. Take Ohio Street East to Michigan Avenue. Left on Michigan Avenue, traveling north 8 blocks to the John Hancock Building. Delaware Place is located just past the John Hancock Building. Turn right on Delaware, and at the first stop sign turn left onto Mies Van Der Rohe. Turn left at Walton Place. The hotel’s entrance will be on the left (south side) of the street.
From O’Hare International Airport:
Take interstate I-90 east into Chicago, it will merge with I-94; follow the signs for “Chicago Loop”. Exit east on Ohio Street, 50B, and turn left onto Michigan Avenue. Travel north 8 blocks to the John Hancock Building. Delaware Place is located just past the John Hancock Building. Turn right on Delaware, and at the first stop sign turn left onto Mies Van Der Rohe. Turn left at Walton Place. The hotel’s entrance will be on the left (south side) of the street.
From Chicago Midway Airport:
Take Cicero Avenue heading North towards I-55 east. Take I-55 east to 90-94 north (Wisconsin) and exit Ohio Street, 50B. Turn left on Michigan Avenue and travel north 8 blocks to Delaware Place. Turn right on Delaware, and at the first stop sign turn left onto Mies Van Der Rohe. Turn left on Walton Place. The hotel’s entrance will be on the left (south side) of the street.

Directions from O’Hare Airport via CTA train system:
Take the Blue Line out of the airport towards the Loop . Get off at the Washington Street Stop. Transfer to the Red Line. When you exit the train, you’ll see stairs going down to the Red Line. Follow signs and stairs to the side that says Red Line/Howard—this means you are traveling Northbound. Take Red Line/Howard to the Chicago stop. You will take stairs to street level. Take State Street 4 small blocks to Walton; turn right 1 ½ blocks to the Knickerbocker.
If you’d prefer not to transfer, you make take the Blue Line to the Washington stop and take a short (10 minute) cab ride to the Knickerbocker (approx. $7 fare)
Directions from Midway Airport via CTA train system:
Take the Orange Line out of the airport towards the Loop . Get off at the Roosevelt stop to transfer to the Red Line. When you exit the train, you’ll see stairs going down to the Red Line. Follow signs and stairs to the side that says Red Line/Howard—this means you are traveling Northbound. Take Red Line/Howard to the Chicago stop. You will take stairs to street level. Take State Street 4 small blocks to Walton; turn right 1 ½ blocks to the Knickerbocker.
